Things to Remember

when choosing a location, keep in mind that I do prefer to use natural light. this creates the most beautiful and naturally looking photos. for outdoor sessions, an open shady area is best so we don't have you and your children in the direct sunlight. when planning for your session, the best times are early morning or late afternoon for the best results.

when preparing for your "expecting" photos, it's best to plan for your session in the seventh month of pregnancy.

and when preparing for the arrival of your little one, be sure to call before the birth so we can schedule accordingly. the best time to photograph newborns are within the first two weeks of life. they tend to sleep much more and I like to avoid the 'baby acne' stage (but your little one won't have it).

What to wear

keep it SIMPLE ..... less is more! we want the main focus to be you or your child/family. try to avoid large prints, logos and busy patterns. feel free to bring several outfits and I can help you choose the best for the photo. and if there's time, we can change outfits as well. having your child pick an outfit can always add a little something of their own personality to the photo. newborns and babies are best photographed in nothing. I do have several blankets and goodies to wrap your little one in. if you do have more than one subject being photographed, please dress in coordinating outfits. simple blue jeans and a white t-shirt always works well!

Pricing Details

sessions are by appointment only and typically last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, however, there are no set time limits. we’ll take whatever breaks your child or family may require. I find the best results are when you allow the subject to feel at ease with the photographer (sometimes it takes longer than others), but it results in the most breath-taking images. each session can include up to 4 people at a time ($15 per person over 4) and the session can be held at either your home or on-location at any of your favorite places. I prefer locations where your child feels most comfortable and relaxed; their own nursery, a playroom or even mom and dad’s bed. we can work together to find the best place take your child or family photos.

this includes only my time and talent as the photographer, travel to the location of choice and the editing and processing of the images. and when it comes to ordering prints, I want my clients to order what you want, that's why I provide a la carte pricing.

within 10-14 days, you will receive an on-line album of 20-35 images from your session.

single weight / double weight matboard: printing on matboard gives extra support as well as helps preserve the value of your print over time
canvas on matboard: canvas bonded to matboard provides a gallery-like rich texture and sturdy backing to prepare for framing

*** all prices reflect printing, including tax. based on your total order amount, a shipping fee will be applied to all orders. orders may be placed and paid for by either check or credit card.

due to any unforeseen circumstances, a sick child perhaps, please be courteous and contact me with 48 hours of your session. I will allow for rescheduling…..within reason.
